Labyrinth Stormborn

I’m a recluse from New Zealand who likes drawing, writing, reading and driving (not at the same time). Obsessive, impulsive & compulsive, I’m interested in history, nature, geography & science, with a bent toward astronomy and science fiction.

Computing and computers had always fascinated me, and I’ve been online since PCs could connect. I made my first web page using windows 3.1 and I’ve been a fan and supporter of online interactive worlds since they began. I first started building in virtual worlds about 10 years ago but soon after i did, others interested in being creative or needing help with projects led me to putting more time into instruction than making things.

Unable to recall every one of them, I’ve experienced V-Worlds, SL, Opensim, 3rdRock, Metropolis, OSGrid and Inworldz. Thanks to encouragement and support from friends on Inworldz I’ve found a good balance allowing me to be more productive.

I like to make things that are different, interesting and useful; my own house at Wolf Creek is a good example. As well as my shop, Amaze Building Supplies, which has textures, doors, mazes & novelties, there are several of my creations dotted around our sims which are worth seeing.

Remona Stormborn

Hi, I’m RoseCityRemona Skytower in some worlds and ‘Re’ to my friends. I live in the Pacific NW of the US. I’m 58 as of this writing. Along with my IW daughter, Labyrinth Stormborn, we own & operate Gaia Foundation in the Great Canadian Grid.

I fell in love with Lincoln Logs at age 3 or 4, then Legos, and Tinker Toys and anything else I could create 3D masterpieces with. It was a natural progression into what I do today: create 3D content in virtual worlds.

I also enjoy community building and working in collaboration with others as well as writing and learning. I’m a bit of an amateur sociologist, studying the human condition, in particular the peculiarities of how virtual worlds effect our minds and relationships. Not that it’s helped with my two disastrous long term relationships in virtual worlds. But, I do find it interesting, all the added complexities of getting along in a world where anything is possible and few real things are actually known.

I love visiting people’s builds to see what great things they’ve imagined & exploring other worlds when I get a chance. I also enjoy dressing up my Barbie doll. My outfits usually reflect my moods which leads me to believe I am one moody lady…..

I spend a lot of time writing tutorials & creating dirt cheap building supplies. My favorite things to build are architecture & natural terrains such as mountains & caves. In particular I enjoy creating architecture that blends with the terrain.

Feel free to say ‘hi’ and I’ll get back to you when I come up for air from whatever building program I have my head buried in.
